Welcome to the BU Proteomics and Metabolomics Core Facility

The BU Proteomics Core Facility (PCF) provides infrastructure and service for the identification and characterization of metabolites, proteins and post-translational modifications. This includes various platforms for protein and peptide separation, mass spectrometry (ion trap and QTOF), off gel electrophoresis, HPLC fraction and stable isotope labelling.

Instrumental analysis and consultation services offered:

Stable isotope labelling (SILAC, Dimethylation)

Label-free quantitation (MS1 filtering)

Identification of protein-protein interactions & post-translational modifications

Targeted (HR-MRM, MRM), discovery (DDA) analysis

All-ion fragmentation (DIA) & custom spectral libraries generation

MS, MS/MS, MSn, CID and ETD fragmentation.

In-solution digestion & in gel digestion

Peptide/protein Identification (discovery, QTOF)

HPLC, SPE/stage-tips

Electrophoresis

We accept samples from BU and other academic Institutions, and corporations.

For service or more information please contact PCF Director at: chenv@brandonu.ca

Due to nature and expense of some analyses, we are open to collaboration and grant co-application/support.
